Last Updated on Monday, 8th June 2026
Emirates and flydubai have issued travel advisories following new Ebola-related measures introduced by the UAE. Effective 6 June 2026, travellers who have recently visited the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the last 21 days will not be allowed to enter the UAE unless they have spent at least 21 consecutive days outside these countries. The UAE has also suspended new visas for nationals of the three countries until further notice.
Suspensions extending into June:
Cathay Pacific (through June 30), KLM (until June 14), Aegean Airlines (until June 29)
Extended suspensions:
Air Canada (until September 7), airBaltic and Eurowings (until October)
Additional airlines affected:
Philippine Airlines has extended the suspension of its Manila–Dubai flights until August 2, 2026, citing ongoing security concerns and unpredictable airspace conditions in the Middle East. The airline said passenger safety remains its top priority amid restricted airspace and sudden route changes. Affected travellers can rebook flights at no extra cost, convert tickets into travel credits with a 20% bonus, or request full refunds. Despite the Dubai suspension, PAL confirmed that its Riyadh flights continue to operate normally for now.
Air France, Finnair, Pegasus Airlines, SunExpress, and Wizz Air, which currently has no Dubai services available.
What travellers should expect:
- Ongoing cancellations and last-minute schedule adjustments
- Flexible options including free date changes, travel credits, or refunds
- Gradual resumption of flights depending on operational approvals
Tips for Travelers
- Confirm flight schedules with your airline (Emirates, flydubai, Air India, IndiGo, etc.).
- Allow extra time for check-in and security.
- Follow updates from official airline and Dubai Airports channels.
- Be ready for possible diversions, rescheduling, or rebooking.
